FAQ

Common questions.

What is Vesper?

A weather app built for planning, not just checking. Ask Vesper about any place and any date and it answers from real data — so you can decide when to go, what to pack, and what to plan around.

How is it different from other weather apps?

Most apps tell you today. Vesper helps you plan ahead — reading the live forecast for near-term trips and decades of records for trips that are still months away.

What does “typical, not a forecast” mean?

A forecast only reaches about 16 days out; past that, no one can predict a specific day. So for far-off dates Vesper shows typical conditions — what a place is usually like at that time of year, drawn from years of records. It's labeled clearly and never presented as a forecast.

How far ahead can I plan?

As far as you like. Within 16 days you get a real forecast. Beyond that, you get typical conditions for the dates you're considering — enough to choose the right week or pack the right bag.

Where does the weather data come from?

Open-Meteo, an open weather service built on national forecast models and long-term climate records.

Can Ask Vesper be wrong?

Every number Vesper gives comes from real forecast or historical data — it doesn't invent figures. But weather is uncertain by nature, and typical conditions describe the usual, not a guarantee. Treat far-off answers as strong guidance, not a promise.

Is Vesper free?

The live weather app is free. The planning features — Ask Vesper, planning months ahead, saved plans, and voice — are part of Vesper Pro, and every new account starts with full Pro.

Can I use voice?

Yes — ask out loud or type. Voice is part of Pro.

What do you do with my data?

Vesper stores your saved cities, plans, and preferences to run the app for you — nothing more. Sign-in is by magic link, so there's no password to manage.

What platforms is Vesper on?

Vesper is coming to iOS and Android, and works on the web too. Your account and plans follow you across all of them.

How do I get help?

Once Vesper is live, its assistant answers most questions right away and brings in a real person when you need one. Until then, join the waitlist and we'll keep you posted.
